HOW TO CHOOSE A CRYSTAL

There are ultimately no rules to this, whatever feels right within you is what matters the most and what I encourage you to go with when selecting your crystals. You'll find that the right crystal will call out to you based on what you need at the moment, and that is often the best way to choose a crystal. Crystal healers often say that you don't chose the Crystal, the Crystal chooses you.


There are a few ways you can choose a crystal that is right for you:

  1. Choose a crystal that you feel drawn to. Which one tugs you energetically as you pass your eyes over all the different stones? Whether you’re in the room with crystals or browsing online, pick one that catches your eye and just feels like it's calling out to you. It might have a message or purpose for you that you don’t even know you need yet! It is a good idea to purchase a beginner crystal set with a great variety of crystals and rocks to see which stones "speak to you".


2. Choose a crystal based on what you need at this moment. This need could be physical, emotional or spiritual. For example, Amethyst is a good stone if you are going through a time of intense stress, black Tourmaline is a great choice for protection against negative energies, while Selenite is the best crystal for purification and Aura cleansing. You can also find jewelry pieces that were created to support specific intentions.


3. Choose a crystal based on what you want more of. For example, if you want prosperity, choose a crystal that represents luck, abundance and finances like Green Aventurine or Pyrite. If it’s love you want, opt for Rose Quartz, this beautiful soft pink crystal resonates with love and harmony. Amethyst promotes stress relief and balance while Carnelian brings vitality and creativity. Carry your stones with you in your pocket or purse. You can pull them out whenever you need centering. Wear your crystal jewelry.
